23.05.2008 Projector based Large Screen Display solutions for Oslo Underground

Global Control Center Design has been awarded a contract by Kollektivtransportproduksjon AS (Oslo Underground) for supply of Projector based Large Screen systems and services to their brand new control center in Oslo.

The contract includes engineering, equipment delivery, test and commissioning.
Contract value, including options, is NOK 7,0 Mill.

31.03.2008 Projector based Large Screen Display system for Troll A CCR

Global Control Center Design has signed a contract with Aibel for Large Screen Display system for the StatoilHydro Troll A CCR. The order includes a 7 channel redundant front projection system.

Contract Value, including options, is NOK 4,5 Mill.

22.10.2007 Projector based large screen solutions for Kollsnes training simulator

Global Control Center Design was recently awarded a contract by Aibel for supply of Projector based Large Screen system

to the Statoil Kollsnes training simulator.
The contract includes engineering, equipment delivery, test and commissioning.
Contract value is NOK 1.2 Mill.

12.10.2007 OSAT for Honeywell, Chile successfully completed

On site acceptance test for the 4 channel projector large screen system to Honeywell in Santiago, Chile has been successfully completed.

12.07.2007 Large Screen Display for Troll A to be developed in Drammen

Global Control Center Design has today signed a contract with Aibel for equipment to the Statoil Troll A large Screen Display development project.  The order includes a 6 channel Megawall projection system to be used during the development period.

Contract Value is NOK 1.5 Mill.

28.06.2007 110m2 Mock-up for Troll A Control Room to be built in Drammen

Global Control Center Design has today signed a contract with Aibel for the Statoil Troll A Control Room Mock-up. A complete 1:1 model is to be tested and verified for a 17 months period inside the GCCD premises. The model includes a 12,5m curved Large Screen Display wall, real lighting, furniture and interior colors.

Contract Value is NOK 0.7 Mill.

11.06.2007 GCCD signs up with seismic company Petroleum Geo Services (PGS) for Ramform Sovereign

Global Control Center Design has today signed a major contract for supply of control room equipment with PGS. The visual equipment for seismic analysis and other control room equipment will be installed in new build vessel Ramform Sovereign.

Contract Value is NOK 2.5 Mill.

30.05.2007 GCCD signs Large Screen Display contract with Honeywell Chile

Global Control Center Design has today signed a contract for supply of visual equipment and engineering services with Honeywell Chile. The system will be installed in Honeywell’s brand new control centre in Santiago, Chile.

The contract includes engineering, equipment delivery, test and commissioning.
Contract value is NOK 2 Mill.

08.05.2007 Control Room Analysis for Statkraft Energi AS

Statkraft Energi AS, Norway’s largest producer of power has ordered a control room analysis for their major power plants.

The analysis will focus on the physical working environment for the operators.

30.04.2007 Close Large Overview to Eramet Norway, Porsgrunn

Eramet Norway has ordered a Close Large Overview for manganese production monitoring. The order includes a 3 channel Megawall and a picture-in picture unit for CCTV monitoring.

Total contract value is NOK 1.3 Mill.

GCCD has been awarded a design study contract by Vakt Service AS, Norway’s second largest security company. The study includes control center functional and task analysis together with architectural design.

28.11.2006 Norwegian National Rail order Close Large OverView (CLOV) operator station

Norwegian National Rail has ordered a Close Large OverView (CLOV) operator station to Hamar Traffic Control Centre. The order includes a 3 channel Megawall and a picture-in picture unit for railway traffic monitoring. In the contract there is an option for 2 additional CLOV stations and a 5-year service agreement.

Total contract value Phase 1 is NOK 1.4 Mill.

16.10.2006 GCCD assists Statoil at Kvitebjørn

GCCD has successfully assisted Statoil in order to improve the performance of the large screen wall at Kvitebjørn delivered by another company. The solution, based upon several plasma displays, suffered from significant geometry deviations between the different screens. Even though we wouldn't recommend plasma screens in control rooms, among else due to the risk of image burn in, we are happy to provide our expertise and know-how to enhance the quality of the system.

25.09.2006 FAT for Snorre A successfully completed

Factory acceptance test for the projector large screen system to Snorre A has been successfully completed with 0 - zero punches.

18.09.2006 11 meter curved Snorre wall installed at GCCD

The 11 meter curved Snorre wall is set up and configured at GCCD's test facilities. The solution includes redundancy of parts of the large screen wall. The wall is ready for FAT scheduled September 2006.

18.09.2006 OSAT for Statfjord C successfully completed

Offshore site acceptance test for the projector large screen system to Statfjord C has been successfully completed.

18.09.2006 Great response at ONS 2006

GCCD joined the ONS for its first time and the response was absolute great. A 7.5 x 1.4 meter curved large screen wall with 4 front projectors creating seamless images draw the attraction to our stand. Visitors that for the first time experienced projector based large screen images was very impressed. The presentation of complete and customized control room solutions combined with projector based large screen images was well accepted by the visitors

Global Control Center Design and The Norwegian Battlelab and Experimentation have signed a contract for delivery of Large Screen Projectors for use in a field test project for mobile control and battle stations.

Contract value is NOK 0.2 Mill.

01.11.2005 Global Control Center Design moves in to Sundland Industrial Estates in Drammen

The company has landed on Sundland, Drammen, to become head office location for their expanding business solutions.

The head office is located some 30 km west of Oslo, and is easy accessible via the highway E18 and railway.

GCCD today have 400 m2 for offices and demo purposes, and will expand to 1000 m2 by mid 2006.

10.05.2004 IFE report concludes that front projection large screen displays in control rooms will function well

IFE has performed a thorough qualification test of front projector large screen displays in control rooms.  The report concludes that this picture type will function well ergonomically in control rooms.
